Brandon Wilkinson is a painter in Portland, Oregon working primarily in oils. His approach to painting has taken him through an eclectic array of styles from early realistic photo-based landscapes, through collage, formal abstraction, portraiture, into figurative compositions. He continues to explore the language of painting in his most current work, a large scale group portrait of fellow artists, friends and bartenders in a local dive bar.
Mr. Wilkinson received formal training at the Pacific Northwest College of Art and is now a member of Blackfish gallery. The gallery was founded in 1979 making it one of the oldest artist run cooperatives in the United States. He was also a founding board member of Flight 64, local nonprofit print making studio.
